We have just had the most incredible time in the Catlins. Better than even the photographs suggest! On Saturday morning we went down to the beach with the kayak. Maya and I paddled out beyond the surf and quickly found a pod of dolphins . We sat with them for quite some time as they played around us. We were transfixed! After a while we went back in to the beach to allow Josh and Tom to go out. They had a similar experience. In fact, we had the dolphins with us each time we went out over a three hour period. On the way home we visited the Fossilised Forest and McClean Falls. Poor Wendy was in work while all this was going on.
