The Horse Riding Pictures We Wish We Didn't Have!!Maya was thrown off a horse last night as it got into a fight with another horse and bucked. She broke both bones in her forearm. She has shown us once again how amazingly strong she is. Her judo instructor says she is a little person with a very big heart. Well, there was much evidence of that last night as she kept her composure despite great pain and a forearm making a S- shape! After 5 hours in hospital and then a night of disturbed sleep, she still wanted to go to school this morning.

Dave I know the emotions you must have felt with Samuel having broke his arm on a bouncy castle last year.Maya sounds really brave and i am sure it wont keep her out of any triathlons, i would stay clear of horses though never trusted them. We are all fine and weather is getting a little warmer now

Wow Maya what an injury. That is an impressive break you suffered! Even more impressive was your determination to go to school the next day despite what had just happened. So good that your mum was right on the spot to help you. Surprised she didn't call Mr Doug and his helicopter to give you a quick trip into hospital - after all what are friends and colleagues for!! When I saw your Dad in the hospital foyer as I was leaving and joked with him about lurking with intent, I had no idea that he was waiting for you after the news of your really nasty fall. We all hope it is not too achy now and that it heals really well for you. from the Donkins

Maya, you now have a weapon to hit Tom if he starts having a go at you. Tom, I would keep out of Maya's way for a few weeks.
