Camping in Cardrona
Last night we returned home from one of the best holidays we have ever had. Most of it was spent camping with friends amongst some trees next to the Cardrona River. The farm is 5000 acres and belongs to an old acquaintance of the Gray family. It was amazing to have so much space and not see another soul. The children thrived, playing in the river on old inner tubes, making bows and arrows, and exploring the woods and river. We ate fresh rabbit, bread cooked on sticks over the fire, but mostly lots of goodies “hunter-gathered” from the supermarket on the way there!
Being with good friends somewhere so beautiful was so good, getting out kayaking, swimming, and walking in the hills made it ridiculously good!

Tom developed a taste for rabbit ;)

Big thanks to our friends for making it such a great holiday :)

What a wonderful holiday, hope you are all rested and set for a new year. Will have to ring you and find out the stories behind the stories.
