A Perfect Day at Sandfly Bay

We have spent a wonderful afternoon at Sandfly Bay with the Coplands. The beach is famed for it's yellow-eyed penguins and other wildlife, and despite us not seeing any penguins (they don't come in until dusk), there were lots of sea lions. Spring was clearly in the air as there seemed to be a fair bit of smooching going on amongst the sea lions, who thankfully seemed oblivious to us! Wendy managed to fit in a run and the children spent time jumping off giant sand dunes, while I saved my energy ready to escape a sea lion charge - they are huge and carnivorous!

With Wendy running and you conserving your energy Dave you obviously weren't taking a leaf out of the sealions' book!!
