Dunedin North Schools' Cross-Country Race
Tom did really well this morning in coming fourth out of over 50 runners in the year five boys race. Mid-race he clawed his way up from 8th to 2nd only to be out sprinted in the final 50 metres. I was really proud of him, especially as he has been full of cold and nearly didn't make it to school yesterday, never mind race! Unfortunately, Wendy has missed all the excitement as she was asked to fly a patient up to Christchurch for surgery - though she may be having enough excitement of her own: there is currently a weather warning as gales are forecast and the plane she is flying in is tiny!

Way to go Tom!!!! Really excellent!

You must take after your mum ;-)

If you weren't wearing that rubbish blue shirt I reckon you'd have won!

Tom that is brilliant! Great effort - you will need to keep up the training and beat your Dad in a race. Just think what could have done if you didn't have a cold.

Tom. Fantastic effor mate! However, you will go faster if you wear a Liverpool top though. The Blue ones are weighed down by bitterness!!!
