The Copland Farm.

To rival the splendour of Milford Sound, was the joy we experienced staying at the Coplands place. They have a place high up on the hill over looking the farm land. It is stunningly peaceful - though the five kids tried to remedy that. Yesterday we spent time with the farmer who allowed the children to help pen the sheep - Tom could hardly contain his excitement! The sheep dogs were amazing and the children were allowed to stroke them and let them out of their cages. (check out the video footage ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVrO1DQkaJg

After lunch we enjoyed a tour of the farm on the back of a farm truck with two of the dogs. John the farmer gave Tom a sheep dog whistle before we left, he has been blowing it ever since and even slept with it. John even sheared a sheep to the show the children how it was done.

The warmth and kindness of the Copland family made this such a memorable break and has made being in NZ so much more fun - thanks guys!
