The temperature has dropped, but the sun has been shining and we have been at the beach for the last two days. Yesterday the Coplands took Tom, Maya and myself down to Tunnel Beach (The 2 larger photo's above). It is an amazing place where the sea has eroded the sandstone cliffs into caves and arches. The surf was crashing in dramatically - lots of fun of the wet socks and shoes type was had!

Today the Donkin family asked us and the Coplands to go for an afternoon walk up at Aramoana beach, it is a really beautiful place - white sandy beach, rolling surf and fantastic views of peninsula. The children rolled down the sand hills and got a good look at the fur seals on the rocks. The adults got to stroll and chat and enjoy the scenery.
