Spring is in the air!

The weather has been amazing this weekend - Spring really does seem to have arrived with warm air and blossom. We have managed visits to the beach both yesterday and today. Yesterday we headed off with the Coplands to Aromoana Beach. As Andre left he chatted to a neighbour who was going skiing - viva New Zealand! It was a day of kids using loads of energy charging down sand hills and adults...er.... chatting and drinking coffee.

Today is Fathers' day here in NZ, so after church we went for a family stroll along Long Beach to the caves. It was beautiful. As we drove across the hills we had snow covered mountains in the distance and Blueskin bay below us - wow!

No photos as the camera is out of action.

I am presently enjoying a delicious marble cake coated in a rich chocolate icing and topped with 100s and 1000s - made in my honour by Tom and Maya! Yum!
