Winter Storm in Christchurch

We have just come in from building a snowman and playing in the snow here at the Donkin's place in Christchurch. We were planning to leave Dunedin mid-afternoon yesterday to drive up here, but then saw the weather forecast and realised we had to leave before lunch or not at all - so everthing was chucked into the cart and the children were liberated from school at high speed. We had a great drive and made it in under five hours.

It has been great to catch up and chat with the Donkins - and to have snow is an added bonus!
